PLAN ARTA (UD) - Following tradition again this year on the last Sunday of August marks the Lander party, an event promoted by A.D.M. Friends of the Piano d'Arta mountain with intent to tie together tradition, religion, nature and sports. The day of celebration will begin at 8:00 am in Piano d'Arta at the Salon square with the opening of entries for the 32th Ascent to the towers of Lander, a race in a non-competitive mountain open to all classes starting to 10.00 hours and arriving at the bivouac Lander. For people who prefer to go more slowly the appointment is set at approximately 11.00 am at the Bivacco Lander (average rise time starting from the Piazzetta Salon hours from 1.30 to 2.00) At 12.00 it will be celebrated the Holy Mass dedicated to the Madonna of the Lander (63 th anniversary) in memory of an ancient vow made by the people of Plan during the Second World War. From the hilltop overlooking the scenery of the Lander with its characteristic towers, this year you can admire the new altar of the Virgin Mary that for the occasion has been relocated from its towers, the same place where in 1996, after 57 years, was torn by the violence of the water. Around 13:00 the event will be back at the bivouac Lander for a convivial moment at which around 15:00 will be followed by the awarding of the Lander Marcia - V ° Memorial Luigi Clocchiatti. At the end of the awards, after a few songs in the company, we will return to the town with joy in my heart for having spent a fantastic and unforgettable day in a unique and special place.
