Carnia is one of the botanically richest regions in Europe and in Arta Terme, we organise a nature weekend: the festival of woodland asparagus, mountain radicchio and spring herbs.
This is how we celebrate spring in Arta Terme! With the products of the season: woodland asparagus, mountain radicchio and mushrooms.
From May until mid-June in Carnia is the flowering season, but throughout the summer in the meadows at high and low altitudes one can admire flowers and herbs of the most varied alpine species, as well as a very rich variety of orchids. The first fruits of spring in this unspoilt land of conne become the stars of a festive day. The village streets come alive with an exhibition of typical local products and the possibility of tasting the menu proposed and prepared with the products that are the protagonists of the festival. In addition to gastronomy, there will be plenty of other activities for young and old alike. With botanical experts and naturalists, you will discover the places where wild herbs grow with an excursion along the valley floor paths, learn how to use them, and enjoy the flavours in the stalls and restaurants.
Workshops for children at the Cort dai Fruz, an exhibition of mushrooms and wild herbs, contemporary art, concerts in the square and more.
